Lemonville United Church welcomes Christians and those who seek to connect to Christianity in the Stouffville area. We aim to make contact with and encourage others to join us in our life-changing Christian journey.
The initial services of the Lemonville Methodist Church began in 1854 within a frame school house, and in 1856, the original church building was constructed near the present site. The first ministers included John Lacey and R. Cade, who would typically reach Lemonville by horse and cutter or an iron-tired buggy traveling through the winding bush trails and over the many plank bridges.
Our vision is to make an impact for God, here in Stouffville, Ontario by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds. Everyone is welcome, no matter your age, beliefs, or background. Come just as you are - we'd love to get to know you better.
Lemonville Church continues to serve as the core social, communal and religious centre for the local residents of Lemonville. We are considered to be the oldest house of worship within Whitchurch-Stouffville. Due to the longstanding devotion and determination of the congregation members in sustaining the operation of the church we are proud to offer a weekly Sunday Service.
